Would be good to get that cap off the books, if they decide on getting Prust a heavyweight partner next season let's hope Sather decides on someone younger.

Hopefully it's true. Brash shouldn't have been signed in the first place... FARGing Sather.

I am stunned how useless he has been. I was never in favor of his signing but I really didnt think he would be this ineffective? I figure even though I was rooting against him, that he would prove me wrong and spark the team in some minor way if not, just stand up for his mates. I do think to an extent he has been misused by the coach if that is even possible. I think the same can be said with Sean Avery.

Can't protect your teammates in the stands.

He wasnt going to be an everyday player. He was brought here to play in certain physical match ups. But the coaches failed to dress him then. If you dont dress him for a game against the Flyers, who do you dress him against? He should have played that game. If not, he should have been waived earlier that day. But that was a DUMB coaching move. Brashears not here to score. He's here to take punches so Lundqvist and Gaborik don't. That parts on the coaches. Either use him or waive him.

absolutely. don't understand it. completely mind boggling.

maybe by the time we played the Flyers because it was later in the season, the coaching staff had seen enough of him to know he has gone down in terms of his play? Not sure.

tortorella's decision not to dress and play Brashear for the philly game goes down as one of low points in his tenure here so far.

absolutely inconceivable.

Disagree, Torts has simply seen that he's done, he doesn't even win fights anymore, he's an embarrassment if anything, he shouldn't dress him EVER, his game has gone so far downhill that Torts instead play someone who's more effective. It's not like Brashear makes up for it by winning fights anymore, if you gonna have a figther out there that's gonna be usless in fights then at least dress the one best at playing hockey.

Brashear is done and Torts know it, so he's not playing him. Wish he'd do the same thing with Drury, at least he has him on the 4th line.

he played since that game i believe. It does look like he's done, but he should be capable of skating over to someone on the Flyers and pretend to fight them.

This is all hindsight now, but at the time I think he need to dress him for
that game.
